THE AUDIENCE FOR THE TEXT IM LOOKING AT IS VERY BROAD.
THE NEWS IS FOR MAINLY ALL AGES AND THE REPORTS THAT INCLUDE ISLAMAPHOBI ARE MADE FOR A "WESTERN" AUDIENCE. ANY CLASS, AGE, RACE - ANYONE BUT MULSIM PEOPLE.
and this works good because it makes a common enemy which unites the wstern community, makes them come together and create some kind of order in society. the western audience get pleasure out of "cussin" the terrorist, its some sort of comfort.

Think about audience pleasures and how they are satisfied by certailn representations.
How do they reinforce our prejudices, etc.?
How do they unite us against a common enemy?
How do they generate fear? (Remember what Marilyn Manson said about this in 'Columbine'?)
